At just her third start, ACCORDINGLY won decisively at Donald yesterday aided by a cool, calm ride by Jordan Childs.
A lovely mid-distance filly in the making, by Waikato Stud’s Ocean Park, Accordingly is a 2017 Inglis Premier buy from the expertly prepared draft of Henley Park.
We must say we were quite amazed at the price we secured her for ($40,000). She was a lovely yearling with a beautiful body, long-stride, long sloping shoulder and a fluent walk. With the goal to give her time to mature, Nigel thought she was a great buy. As time went by and her work was increased, she his proven to be a true mid-distance / staying prospect in the making. To win her first race at just her third start is particularly pleasing.
Out of the Golan mare L’ACCORD, Accordingly hails from a very good family of fillies. She has four stakes-winning fillies/mares close-up in her pedigree: AD ALTA (Group 1 NZ one Thousand Guineas plus three Group races), POSING (Listed victory), ZANNA (Group 2 VRC Empire Rose Stakes & Group 3 MVRC Tesio Stakes) and NIGELISSIMA (Listed race).
