Patience Pays in Dreams and Schemes

In his first racing preparation, Dreams And Schemes was unplaced in five starts through the later part of 2019.

After giving him the time he needed to grow, mature and develop, his second preparation has been an entirely different story.

In his second preparation of five starts so far he has won three times, as well as being a runner up.

His win today at Donald continued what has been a magnificent preparation for a horse that shows patience really can pay.

He is such a fun horse to be taking to the races and for us to be involved with now. He fights hard in his races and has a strong competitive spirit. Not something every horse is blessed with, but something we of course love to see.

That was on show today, as he was headed in the straight but continued to find.

Neil Farley gave him a great confident ride, making the most of the horses maturity and settling outside the leader.

It’s particularly pleasing to continue a nice run with Ross Wilkinson. The time and effort he puts into mating, breeding and supporting his horses is wonderful and results like this mean a lot to the whole team.

The patient approach Ross has allowed us to take with this horse is beginning to bear fruit. Early days in his racing he didn’t put it all together, but now of course we are very excited about him.

Hopefully we can continue to place the horse well and continue the winning run this preparation.
