Pure Exceleration Wins Again

Posted on Posted in News

We were thrilled to continue a fruitful preparation with Pure Exceleration at our home track Ballarat today.

For a horse to put together consecutive wins at the 10th and 11th start of their preparation is really pleasing and goes to show the hard work our team is doing to keep horses like him fresh, well and sound.

The horse has been in such a good shape mentally and physically. He can jump beautifully and has thrived with variety in his work.

We owe our team a great thanks for their continued work with this horse.

He also demonstrates the benefit of given a horse ample time to develop. He’s now becoming fruitful off the back of several preparations when he was learning his craft and continuing do develop.

There is no doubt he has been frustrating in the past, not running up to his looks or the ability he had shown at home.

However, running at 2000m has really proven to be his caper. For 5 starts, he has won twice and run second twice.

Neil Farley developing a great affinity with the horse and gave him another great ride today. Sticking to the inside fence yet still building unimpeded momentum was a key reason he won.

Overall, he has definitely turned the corner and is quickly becoming a very likeable horse for our stable.

Thanks again to the owners that have stuck with the horse and again we hope there is more to come.

We are also appreciative to both the Ballarat Turf Club and Racing Victoria. Thanks to BTC for investing in an all-weather track and to RV for moving the meeting to ensure it was still run.

While it’s not an ideal scenario to move meetings, had it been run on the heavy 10 course proper Pure Exceleration would have been scratched.

Pure Exceleration’s win also brought up a double for us today, with the win of Emerald Crown. You can read about that by clicking here.
