A Cranbourne Win Dedicated to Pattison

Posted on Posted in News

It was great to take Inkerman Road to Cranbourne on Friday night and get his maiden won.

We were also saddened to hear the news of the passing of Shane Pattison, a highly respected farrier we’ve known for many years.

The race was named in his honour and it meant a lot for our stable to win it.

Back in our early days training based at Cranbourne we spent a bit of time with Shane. A great farrier, Shane was a top racing man and highly respected in the community.

Appropriately, Inkerman Road is another winner for Ross Wilkinson, who has kindly supported us since our days at based at Cranbourne.

It’s taken some patience to get Inkerman Road in the winners stall given he was a nine start maiden, but nice to get a win with him for Ross.

He’s a son of Victorian sire Foxwedge and Balaclava Lady, the mare being a much-loved metropolitan winner we trained for Ross.

Thanks to Neil Farley for another good winning ride for the stable.
