A beautiful, stylish filly who looks likely to be a 2YO type
2yo Chestnut Filly
- Sire: Pariah (by Redoute's Choice)
- Dam: What's The Plan (by Written Tycoon)
- Foal Date: October 8, 2019 (AUS)
By freshman sire PARIAH who was speedy and precocious, with a strong pedigree page.
With a group of owners participating in the yearling selection process at this year’s Inglis Premier Sale, we sought out a filly that would hopefully be an early-running type. We found one in this filly, offered as lot 745 on the account of Hollylodge Thoroughbreds.
Light on her feet with muscle definition and a nice stride, this is a stylish filly by an exciting freshman sire.
PARIAH was one of the highest rated two-year-olds of his generation. He quickly displayed abundant ability and made a winning debut in the Group 3 ATC Canonbury Stakes over 1100 metres. After finishing second in the MRC Blue Diamond Prelude G3, Pariah started favourite in the Blue Diamond S. G1 and put up an outstanding performance to hold second. As a Spring 3YO he overcame an awkward draw to score in the Group 3 ATC San Domenico Stakes, then filled second spot behind Menari in the Group 2 ATC Run to the Rose.
Like leading sires Not A Single Doubt & Beneteau and the sensational Champion Sire Snitzel, he’s a son of Champion Sire Redoute’s Choice. He has been very popular with breeders and yearling buyers alike. This filly is from his first crop.
WHAT’S THE PLAN was unraced, but being by Written Tycoon out of a stakes-placed, metro-winning mare by LUSKIN STAR, she was covered by FOXWEDGE and has a 2yo filly by him (as yet unraced).
What’s The Plan’s dam, LIVID, won three raced at metro level in Brisbane and Melbourne. She also placed in the LISTED VATC Christmas Hcp and finished fourth in another stakes race in Melbourne. As a producer, she has left 7 winners by various sires.
This is the family descending from BRIANNE (fourth dam of this filly) who placed in the G1 Queensland Oaks. Members of this family include ARKADY (G1 STC Ranvet S.) and the speedy stakes-winners OLANANA and SUPER SAVINGS.
The filly has been growing and ‘thickening’ nicely over these past few weeks in the paddock. She is now almost 500kg and will be ready to resume training in September.
