The NZ Bloodstock Karaka National Yearling Sale series is the best source of Group 1 winners in Australasia.
This sale has produced over 100 Group 1 wins in the past five seasons - 21 individual Group 1 winners last season alone - the most of any auction house in Australasia. That's 37% of Australasia's Group 1 winning yearling graduates in the past five seasons from just 21% of Australasia's auctioned yearling crop!
After inspecting more than 400 horses from 12 farms in New Zealand recently, Nigel has put together a shortlist of yearlings to purchase from the 2016 Sale commencing on January 25.
Given the quality on offer at this sale, Nigel's "shortlist" is not so short! There are currently more than 90 on this list following first inspections. This list will be further refined following pedigree analysis, research and understanding the types and budgets of clients.
