Suavito departs

Suavito left our stable today, in good hands. She heads to the Ballarat Vet Clinic to get a bone chip removed from her knee.

“It’s in the higher part of the knee and it needs to come out. She’ll have to miss the Spring,” Nigel said.

“It’s in an unusual part of the knee, you don’t usually see bone chips in this part of the knee. But the good thing is her recovery should be fine and she’ll be back for the autumn.”

Joined by her regular handler and rider Gemma, for the trip to Ballarat, Suavito will be well looked after. After an eight week recuperation period, she will likely have a couple of weeks on a water walker, then perhaps a couple of weeks again in the paddock before returning in November to target Autumn riches.
