Very pleased to privately secure a lovely filly by MASTERCRAFTSMAN, out of a sister to 2009 NZ Champion Stayer and winner of the ATC Derby, NOM DE JEU.
This filly will be raced by great clients of the stable, and arrived in Melbourne later this month.
- By Champion 2yo Sprinter of Europe and four-time Group 1 winning MASTERCRAFTSMAN, who was crowned Europe’s Champion first crop sire in 2013 and second crop sire in 2014. He has sired 23 stakes-winners already including European Group 1 winners THE GREY GATSBY, KINGSTON HILL and AMAZING MARIA.
- With just 32 runners in Australia so far, he has sired eight stakes-performers, including group-winners THUNDER LADY and UPHAM.
- A granddaughter of Champion Older Female in NZ (2002-03), PRIZED GEM, who won the Group 1 Hawke’s Bay Kelt Capital Stakes and Group 1 QTC Brisbane Cup.
- Out of a sister to Champion NZ Stayer (2009) NOM DU JEU, who won the Group 1 Australian Derby and placed in four other Group 1 races including the Caulfield Cup. He is now a promising sire.
- Out of a daughter of MONTEU, one of the world’s leading sires until his death in 2012. He is the broodmare sire of 27 stakes-winners.
- Boasts a successful DANEHILL DANCER / MONTJEU cross, which is responsible for two Group 1 winners (from 30 runners).
