New Flemington stable

After a decade of training out of multiple barns at Flemington racecourse, we are thrilled to be finally able to relocate all our horses under the one roof.

It has always been a challenge to spread 40 horses and 5-7 staff across 2 or three barns at Flemington. It has challenged me as a trainer trying to oversee the stable operation, and challenging for my staff in terms of travel between barns.

But luckily, throughout June and July, we are relocating all horses to one barn. The boxes have been completely cleaned and rejuvenated, there are three large boxes that suit certain horses, and there is a small grass area for our horses to “pick” and to entertain our owners. But most importantly, our operation is now under the one roof.

We will however, lose a couple of boxes requiring us to manage our numbers in the stable carefully. We will continue utilising trusted partners like Fulmen Park (Moorooduc), Shane & John Patterson (Flemington) and Stoneman Equine (Woodend) for education and pre-training services.

In August, we look forward to holding our next Open Day to welcome all owners and partners to the new barn.
