Time to roll out the old cliche – “just one race at a time”.
That’s how we see it at Blackiston Racing, with Suavito headed towards Saturday’s Group 1 Australian Cup at Flemington in fine order after a pleasing gallop on the course proper this morning.
The word is out about a trip to Hong Kong for the Group 1 Champions Mile. It certainly is an honour to be invited by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, as is the possibility of then heading to England to contest one of a couple of feature races at Royal Ascot.
But, at the risk of boring you for this one news article, Nigel, owners and all the staff remain focussed on getting Suavito to the Australian Cup on Saturday and having her perform at her best. Thereafter, Sydney, Hong Kong and England are all options on the table.
