At the Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne recently, we purchased a colt by the brilliant racehorse and exciting young sire, EXCELEBRATION.
He was high on our list of targets right from the moment Nigel saw him parade, amongst a very nice draft offered by Henley Park.
Excelebration (IRE) was an eight-time winner in Europe and winner of three Group 1 victories.
Timeform rated him 133 at 3 years and 133 at 4 years – only Frankel was higher!
His wins in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (1600m) at Ascot , the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp (1600m), and the Prix Jacques le Marois (1600m) at Deauville were evidence of his high class. Being a son of EXCEED AND EXCEL, we are confident he will be a sire force in coming years.
The dam of this colt, MAGITA, was a talented sprinting filly trained in Sydney to win four races and place six times, in her 18 start career.
She won $133,000 in stakes. She hails from the same family as Champion 3yo colt in 2013-14, SHAMUS AWARD (G1 Cox Plate and G1 Australian Guineas).
