Very pleased to welcome the NZ-bred filly, LA VIDA LOCA (NZ), to Flemington recently.
Raced on lease, this filly is by the superstar stallion SAVABEEL, out of a half-sister to NZ Group 1 winner DIADEME.
This is the family of another NZ Group 1 winner, SACRED STAR.
She enjoyed a short familiarisation with the Flemington stable before heading to Fulmen Park for a few weeks break. Nigel kept her in at Flemington upon her arrival in Melbourne, simply to keep her out of the wet and wild weather over this past week. It gave him and all the staff a chance to get to know her, and show her the training tracks and become familiar with the daily routine.
We may have to change her name however, as a La Vida Loca already exists in Australia!
