Amortise has a good future

Amortise ran a very nice race at Flemington on Saturday confirming to his group of owners that their horse has a good future.

Amortise1Having won his Maiden over 1800m at his previous start, Amortise was stepping up in class and trip and he ran very well, making steady headway in the home straight to finish fifth after giving the leaders a good start at the home turn.

I was very pleased with the effort and Craig Newitt gave us a very positive report, confirming to us what we were looking for – that Amortise is a nice staying horse in the making.

A tall leggy son of Desert King, Amortise still has to furnish into his frame and when he does he will be an imposing individual.

I’m sure he will give his owners much to look forward to when he returns from a well-earned break.
