Another group placing for You’re So Good

Things did not go her way on Friday night but You’re So Good was very brave and added another Group placing to her record when third in the Sunline Stakes at Moonee Valley.

She was stepping up to 1600m from 1200m and unfortunately for us, the tempo just dropped to a walk after hitting the first turn and when a mare came back in her face You’re So Good got annoyed and then ran through the bridle and proceeded to over race.

Damian Lane did a good job to restrain her as well as he did but the effort told and You’re So Good was unable to do it at both ends.

That said, she stayed on very bravely from being under pressure at the home turn and finished a meritorious third, adding another Group placing to her record.

There are options for You’re So Good in Sydney or later in Adelaide and I will have a think about whether she is best kept to shorter distances or try 1600 again. She has done so well to come back to form this preparation and she is racing well so we just need to find the right spot for her and I’m sure she will be winning again.
