Desert Jeuney runs well…again

Posted on Posted in News

Desert Jeuney has raced very consistently this preparation and he ran another terrific race at Moonee Valley on saturday to place in the Gr.2 Schweppes Mile.

We were disadvantaged at the weights with it being weight-for-age but I was very proud of our horse. James Winks rode him as we wanted again but we had the misfortune to have Akavoroun stop in front of us when we though he would take us into the race.

That said, Desert Jeuney ran on well when he was in the clear to finish third behind Hooked and he hit the line strongly.

Desert Jeuney has come through the race in very good order and I will head towards the Emirates Stakes with him on the last day of the Flemington carnival.
