We are delighted to welcome a new filly to the stable.
After several days of searching, and a few near misses, an ownership group put together by Ian Lewis was successful in purchasing a filly by PER INCANTO.
From the draft of Little Avondale Stud, offered as lot 800 in the NZ Bloodstock National Yearling Sale, this filly is the first foal of the good Singapore galloper MAKKURA. She looks a real athlete and has a great walk.
Ever since his first yearlings were offered at the NZB Sale at Karaka a few years ago, we have noticed that Per Incanto sires great looking, balanced horses with a bit of class. No surprise considering he is by Street Cry.
Since then, more than 140 of his progeny have won including 13 stakes-winners. His best runners are New Zealand’s Group 1 winners DAL CIELO, SHADOWS CAST and SANTA MONICA. The latter two scored their Group 1 victories this season, providing a boost to Per Incanto’s crop of yearlings this year.
The dam of this filly won her first start in New Zealand before relocating to Singapore where she was successful a further eight times, including a victory at Listed level in the Paititi Gold Trophy.
