For many years we have enjoyed success based at Flemington and the custom of the Victoria Racing Club (VRC). In recent times we have been making subtle changes to our stable operations and assessing our facilities and team. One outcome is our relocation to Ballarat.
After several days of searching, and a few near misses, an ownership group put together by Ian Lewis were successful in purchasing a filly by PER INCANTO.
Knowing that Zoophoria is still quite raw, physically and mentally, the decision was made to tackle the easier BM64 option at Sale with the expectation of another victory. And that expectation was proven correct.
At Kyneton on Thursday, Zoophoria was entered into a BM58 1469m event. Dropping back in distance from two runs at a mile was a specific decision by Nigel, and Kyneton was considered an ideal track for her racing style. And it worked perfectly.
Lightly raced Zoophoria broke through to score her maiden victory at Kilmore on Monday, leading all the way over the 1450m distance.

It was a great day at Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) on Wednesday. Lady of Flanders backed up her last start victory with an even stronger win, and Getemhel fought hard to place in a strong race earlier on the card.
